Of 41,800 frames taken since 2019, 214 survived the edit. 63 of the survivors come from the eight places below, each visited until its last hour of light cooperated.

Every kept frame is printed in an edition of 9, numbered in pencil on the margin. When the ninth print sells, the edition closes and the file is retired. No artist proofs, no second runs.

Why 41,586 frames were not kept

Most losses are weather. The rest are haste: arriving at 19:40 for light that peaked at 19:31. The discard pile teaches more than the keep pile ever has.

Eleven visits for four kept frames. Notes on waiting in a wood where the light arrives late, leaves early, and owes you nothing.

Commission

A place of yours, photographed the same way.

Two commissions are taken each season, never more, because a commissioned place is visited until its light cooperates. The shortest commission to date took three visits. The longest took eleven.
